His journey into the Entertainment Industry began back in his hometown of Puerto Rico where he was involved in what was known back then as "Underground" and what is known today worldwide as "Reggaeton". His debut came in 1995 as an artist on the Mix Tape "Crazy Boricuas vol. 1". Shortly after, he signed his first recording contract with J&N/Sony Records in 1996.
Wanting to be more than just a Reggaeton artist, he decided to move to Florida in 1998 where he branched into the trainings of R&B/Pop music. There, he became member of an Orlando based R&B group called "Project: F.A.T.E." which had successfully caught the attention of many local and out-of-state admirers. After a good 4-year-run, the group disbanded and decided to work on solo projects. It was here that Francisco and one of the other group members, Atiba Martin, decided to experiment with their native roots and create a new sound. With the help of their old group mates Eric Rose, Tommy Hopkins Jr. and with help from music producer and friend Mitch "Genesis" Williams, they created a sound that would be a fusion of R&B, Reggae and Reggaeton...the new duet would be called "OFFICIAL"
A year later and after creating a successful buzz around the Orlando area, the duet
were put on hold after receiving a call from long time friend Jeff Villanueva, Chief
Engineer to DarkChild Records, who at the time was looking for a Reggae artist to sign
to the DarkChild camp. They knew what this meant and showed great support for each other
as they divided down separate paths.
Shortly after the duet parted, Francisco received a call from Vada Nobles (Rhianna,
Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, Natasha Bedingfield, Warren G). Interested in Francisco's
talent, Vada offered him the opportunity to re-emerge into the Industry as a solo artist
combining the elements of mainstream Pop/R&B music.
